I got the fourth panel installed using the same method as the one developed in the last entry. I will need to buy more core bonding compound, so instead of proceeding wit the next core panel, I glassed over the first two panels with chopped stranded mat and polyester resin
I am debating whether or not to use the mat again for the rest of the panels. It takes a lot of resin to wet it out and is far messier than working with cloth. the strands break off too easily and create a big mess. I'm hoping this boat is underweight, because there was a considerable count of resin put into the mat. The good news is that the weight that was added today is low and near the CG of the boat, next to where weights are added to bring the boat up to class minimum. Here's the photo for today:
